1. Who we are

ChampArena is a platform that helps students discover and register for competitions (MUNs, hackathons, quizzes, sports, cultural events and more) and helps organizers run them. By using ChampArena you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

• You must give accurate information when you sign up. You're responsible for activity under your account.
• Student and organizer accounts are separate. Organizer accounts can create and manage events but cannot register as participants.
• You must be old enough to use the platform under the laws of your region, or have a parent/guardian's consent.

3. For students (registration & payment)

• When you register for a paid event, the fee shown at checkout is what you pay. For events with committee-wise pricing, the amount depends on the committee/portfolio you choose and is shown before payment.
• Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. ChampArena does not store your card or bank details.
• A small platform fee may be added at checkout; it is shown clearly before you pay.
• For events with limited committees/portfolios, your selection is held for a short window (about 10 minutes) while you pay. If payment isn't completed in time, the spot is released.
• Your digital ticket is issued once payment is confirmed and is available in your dashboard.

4. Refunds & cancellations

Refund and cancellation terms are set by the organizer of each event and are shown on the event page. ChampArena facilitates payments but is not the organizer of the events listed. Disputes about an event, its conduct, refunds, or allocation should be raised with the organizer; we'll help where we reasonably can.

5. For organizers

• You're responsible for the accuracy of your event details, pricing, committees/portfolios, refund policy and for actually running the event as described.
• Events are reviewed before going live. We may decline or remove events that are misleading, unlawful, or violate these terms.
• Collected fees (minus applicable platform and payment-gateway charges) are settled to you. You're responsible for any taxes on your earnings.
• You must handle participant data lawfully and only for running your event.

6. Acceptable use

• Don't misuse the platform: no fraud, no fake events, no attempts to break security, scrape data, or overload the service.
• Don't upload content you don't have the rights to, or that is unlawful or harmful.

7. Availability

We work hard to keep ChampArena running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may change as we improve the platform.

8. Liability

ChampArena is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of organizers or participants. Our total liability for any claim relating to a transaction is limited to the platform fee we earned on that transaction.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
